Sebastian Oppolzer has studied law at the universities of Hamburg, Tübingen and Speyer (business administrative law), followed by a research fellowship in the area of antitrust at the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington D.C., USA.
Before founding Oppolzer | Seifert, he was a partner practicing in the area of cartel law with Corinius LLP. He was admitted to the Bar in 2005.
Sebastian Oppolzer speaks German and English.
He is a member of the German academic antitrust law society (Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht e.V.) and of the Competition Litgation Forum. He is listed as one of the leading competition lawyers in Germany by WirtschaftsWoche.
Prestigious ranking Juve 2022/2023 lists him as "often recommended" lawyer for competition law ("outstanding in his field, experienced and fast"; competitor).
